Broke: An Economic Abuse Awareness Group

Economic abuse means using money or other financial resources to have power over another person.  Although lesser known than other forms of domestic abuse, economic abuse affects thousands of people, trapping them in their homes with abusive partners that they literally cannot afford to leave.  Broke is a campaign to combat this form of abuse, to make students, health workers aware of its effects, and to press for legal changes to make it harder for anyone to abuse another person economically.  We’re small but friendly.
